iPhone 5 might come with an NFC chip. Android 2.3 supports it via an API, so phones will soon have it.
iPhone 5 Might Have NFC Chip After All
The wait has been very long, but hopefully we will see worldwide use for NFC during 2011. It’s still a Catch 22 game of course, as it’s not just enough that the phones have NFC.
