Google and robotics

I’ve earlier discussed intelligent toys and that there’s a lack of a provider of AI for computers and robots. It seems Google wants to be that provider and more.

Boston Dynamics is in my opinion not the most important acquisition in this area, rather companies that work with AI, but its Big Dog seems to create the most interest, despite it being useless for what it initially was intended for – acting a packing “mule” for the military – because of its high noise level, which is kind of tragicomical.

The thinking Furby is soon here.
