Mobile: From gadgets to content

Apple, Google, Microsoft and Sony will all fight for the consumers’ mobile (and otherwise) media spending.

If now Sony buys out Ericsson from Sony Ericsson it’s clear the real reason is to have devices to distribute media to, as Sony is a major force in movies and music.

And the future is in the distribution of media.

The question is though, if Sony has the media and Google provides Android for Sony’s phones, won’t Google anyway wedge itself in as a media distributor?

Another interesting revelation: Media companies have ads for their Internet TV sites on old-style TV. Things are a-changing.
