Foursquare & Groupon Hook Up for Real-Time Deals
I’m a bit surprised they didn’t provide their own deals component, instead opting for partnering with all relevant deals providers, but of course they would then have to sign up all the merchants themselves. Taking a cut from a few deals providers is much easier.
It would be interesting to know what the cut is, considering Groupon already takes 50% of the deal value. The cost towards the merchant can’t change because of this set-up.
