Without Facebook and the social networking effects, Zynga would probably be just another casual game copy-cat. It’s understandable then that Facebook has been able to negotiate so good terms.

I’m not saying that “hard core” game providers are no better in terms of copying concepts. Also, what’s clear from that market is that the on-line distributors (those that survive) are the real winners: Valve, Microsoft, Apple, Google etc, not the actual game developers.
