They obviously already have an API, being used by the Android and iPhone apps.

There are a few ways Google+ could stand out, at least on Android:

  • Integrated support for Goggles in the default camera app, including augmented reality / navigator-like view of maps and places
  • Voluntary real-time tracking for closed groups (what we did in PalPosition)
  • Auto check-ins based on proximity to and significance of places (actually an app I’ve thought of developing)
  • Full integration with the phonebook, including grouping of people

Let’s see if I can come up with more.
