The question is, how are iOS and Android truly operator unfriendly? Because such phones use too much data? The cat’s already out of the bag on that topic, with or without Nokia, and it’s good for the industry as a whole that operators don’t control phone specs as much as before, that stifled innovation for years, before the iPhone came along and turned everything up-side-down.
I though see an opportunity for Microsoft/Nokia to license their systems to operators. Clearly operators will never innovate on services, but Microsoft/Nokia could help them with that.
