Where age counts

Regarding young (IT) entrepreneurs:

  • More willing and able to spend all their time building a company: No question about that. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
  • More creative: Maybe, but I’d rather say less constrained and more in the know of contemporary vibe and the latest technologies and its possibilities.
  • More responsible and structured: Clearly not.

Ignorance (of competition, of prior art, of business relevance, of their own lack of experience and competence etc) is also an important and under-rated trait, that I’ve found in most younger entrepreneurs, due to plenty of self-confidence and backing from peers. If you think about the risks all the time (even if they realistically speaking are there) you won’t get anything done.
