If you don’t have an iPad already, this seems like a good buy. Apple has chosen to improve broadly, with both significant hardware and software enhancements, including thinner design, two cameras (HD), a clever folding cover that also serves as a stand, software catering to the hobby musician / movie maker etc.
I bought the Android-based SuperPad a couple of weeks ago, and it’s no doubt considerably less expensive and more open in terms of supported media files etc, but iPad 2 is technically considerably better. The SuperPad is embarrassingly slow on everyday things like browsing through applications and scrolling in lists, despite the GHz CPU and 3D accelerator. The main drawback with the iPad is that it’s considerably more closed than Android tablets. Most might not care.
