The second graph spells disaster for Nokia. How are they to come out of that hole, with now Microsoft pushing them to use Windows Mobile?
At the end of the day, profit/margin is everything. Especially as we talk a mature industry (seen mobile phones as a whole), that’s clearly not in a gold digger phase like the social networking / location / deals / cloud application scenes.
That Apple can make such substantial inroads into a mature market is telling of how behind, rigid and distanced from customer needs the other providers are, or were until Android came along.
