Telit offers a wide range of radio modems, with or without own programmable controller, and either as ready-to-use devices or modules for integration, making it easy to mobile-enable any mobile-challenged device.
To me it sounds very much like getting rid of a competitor, and at the same time immediately expand the reach to new markets, which is often the case in such acquisitions, but Motorola might also have unique offerings that Telit doesn’t have.
For one, Telit uses Python in their programmable controllers, Motorola uses Java.
